Description
While I do not as a rule do much airplane photography, this one is special. This is the plane flown by General Daniel "Chappie" James in Vietnam. Gen James learned to fly at the venerable Tuskeegee Institute, home of the Tuskeegee Airmen. He flew fighter missions over Korea and Vietnam and in September 1975 became the first officer in the history of the military to reach the rank of four star general. He died in February 1978 shortly after he retired and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. The plane is fittingly on the Tuskeegee campus.
